Description :

Ginger plants take several months to reach maturity, typically between 8 to 10 months. The ginger rhizomes are ready for harvest when the leaves and stems start to turn yellow and dry out. After harvesting, the ginger rhizomes are cleaned to remove soil, roots, and any other impurities. They are then washed thoroughly to ensure they are free from dirt. The ginger rhizomes are peeled to remove the outer skin, leaving the inner flesh. They can be sliced into smaller pieces or left whole, depending on the desired end product. The cleaned and sliced ginger pieces are spread out in the sun on clean mats or trays.
